Some people are natural salespeople. Some people are natural storytellers. Heather Elliott Welch is something just as important: the person who keeps everything moving when the pressure is on.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Heather grew up alongside Cool Murphy’s own Craig Ernst long before either of them found their way into real estate.
These days, while much of the team is out front with clients, listings, launches, and events, Heather is the steady hand behind the scenes making sure the details, timelines, compliance, and moving pieces all stay aligned.

And in real estate, that matters more than most people realize.
​
Heather has spent years inside the operational side of the industry, including leadership roles with major brokerages like Keller Williams and United Real Estate.
She’s the person agents call when something gets complicated, when a deadline matters, when a contract needs another set of eyes, or when the pressure starts building and somebody needs to calmly figure out the next right step.
​
She knows the systems. She knows the risks. She knows where problems tend to hide before they become actual problems.
​
At Cool Murphy, Heather serves as Director of Operations—helping support agents, protect clients, improve workflows, oversee compliance, and create the kind of operational foundation that allows a fast-moving creative company to grow without losing itself in the process.

Because every growing company eventually reaches a point where talent alone isn’t enough. You need infrastructure. You need consistency. You need someone grounded enough to hold the string while the ideas take flight.

Around here, we jokingly call her air traffic control behind the scenes. You may see her at events, launches, or around the office, but much of her work happens quietly in the background—the emails sent, the timelines tracked, the forms reviewed, the details handled before anyone else even notices they needed attention.

And honestly? That’s exactly how she likes it.

Outside of real estate, Heather lives on the Northshore, where she and her family spend time tending to a real chicken farm, berry picking, and enjoying weekends near the water in Folsom. It’s a life that feels a lot like the way she works: grounded, capable, thoughtful, and steady.
​
At the end of the day, Heather cares about making things easier for the people around her. Helping agents feel supported. Helping systems run better.
Helping good work happen with less stress and more confidence.
