CHAPTER II
Explore the House

A House of Many Rooms
A house built in 1905 was expected to know how to entertain.
There were rooms for receiving guests, rooms for retiring from them, and rooms where the work of keeping a grand household running happened discreetly out of sight.
Roxy had all of these. And then some.
Begin in the Reception Hall, where an extraordinary staircase, original details, and an inglenook fireplace set the scene.
Beyond it, grand parlors, stained glass, and rooms of rather generous proportions await discovery.
There are quiet corners, unexpected connections, and a Palm Room that seems to have borrowed a little of the garden for itself.

Care to Look Around?
Upstairs, the story continues with private rooms and views into the live oak canopy. And below? An entire lower level, including a speakeasy and a secret cellar.
Of course, not every room belongs to 1905. Generations have left their mark, sometimes with considerable enthusiasm. The kitchen, for example, has a distinctly different opinion about what constitutes good taste.
But that is rather the point. Roxy is not a house frozen in time. She's a house that has lived through it.
