CHAPTER III
What's Possible
A Few Unwritten Pages
The rather wonderful thing about Roxy is that you can move right in.
Unpack your things. Invite your friends. Find your favorite spot beneath the live oaks. And then, whenever the mood strikes, begin dreaming.
After 120 years, Roxy has accumulated quite a few layers. Some have been carefully preserved. Others have been uncovered, restored, or reimagined. And there is still room for a few ideas of your own.
We've imagined four.
THE WIDOW'S WALK
Up Among the Tree Tops
High above the red tile roof, imagine a little lookout over City Park. A place for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or simply watching the world go by beneath the oaks.

THE STAIRCASE
A Grand Entrance,
Once Again
An Edwardian staircase connecting the home's grand living spaces with the rooms above. A little architectural theater, perhaps, but also a more graceful way to move through the house.
THE POOL
A Rather Lovely Way to Spend an Afternoon
A swimming pool tucked into the leafy side garden. Sunlight through the branches, a place to cool off, and another reason to linger outdoors long after lunch.

THE KITCHEN & SCULLERY
Behind the Dinner Party
A swimming pool tucked into the leafy side garden. Sunlight through the branches, a place to cool off, and another reason to linger outdoors long after lunch.
Writing Roxy's Next Chapter
Four ideas, none of them a prerequisite for enjoying the house today.
Perhaps you'll pursue one. Perhaps all four. Perhaps you'll think of something nobody has imagined yet.
After all, the best old houses aren't finished stories. They're the sort you keep discovering.
