Is Mid City New Orleans the Coolest Neighborhood?

Updated: Nov 18, 2023

At Team Cool Murphy, we're passionate about all the unique pockets and communities that make up this vibrant city. Each neighborhood in New Orleans has its own special charm and character, making it hard to choose just one as the "coolest." But when we saw an article in Time Out Magazine that ranked Mid City as the 7th coolest neighborhood on the planet, we couldn't help but celebrate! 🎉

Time Out Magazine conducted a survey of 12,000 people from around the world to compile their list of the coolest neighborhoods. And guess what? Mid City, New Orleans, proudly claimed the #7 spot, just below Brunswick East in Melbourne, Australia, and above Isola in Milan, Italy.

What's more, it's one of only six neighborhoods in the entire United States to make the list. 🌎🏆

Now, let's be clear, folks—it's not a competition, and we adore all the neighborhoods here in the Crescent City. But we can't deny that Mid City's unique blend of culture, diversity, and fantastic amenities certainly makes it stand out.
